Havank, tome 1 : Casse-tête - Par Danier - Glénat

• I can read French, but I cannot write it, hence my reply in English. I’m Dutch, and just finished reading the first two Havank stories in the original. In my opinion, the author of the message to whom I respond has made an accurate observation : unlike Chaland, Danier does not "go beyond" (sublimait etc.) Franquin or Tillieux, he merely copies them. In his defense, I would like to point that Danier - in an interview in Eppo 2009/10 - fully admits this. Havank was made in honour of the comics Jippes enjoyed when he was a kid (we are talking about the 1950s, the good man is 64 now). Jippes (...)
